Association of Consulting Architects Nigeria (ACANigeria)
ACANigeria is the professional body representing consultant architects in private practice in Nigeria. It aims to represent the architectural practices, registered with Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON). It is registered as a company limited by guarantee with Corporate Affairs Commission, with RC No. 508374
ACANigeria operates from its secretariat at Penthouse Suit, St. Nicholas House Catholic Mission Street, Lagos.
The Association intends to further the advancement of architecture and its practice in a number of ways;
- It will publish a Directory – on its website and in hard copy – listing member practices.
- It will research on behalf of its members such vital issues related to the practice of architecture in Nigeria.
- It will organize conferences and seminars for members and non members.
- It will augment the efforts of Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and other related professional bodies thus ensuring that the voice of the private practice architect is heard.
- It will comment on and contribute to Government policies and discuss issues of importance to its members with Government and other national bodies.
